Professional Experience

IE Business School, Madrid
Associate Director of International Relations and Projects, June 2009 to September 2010
Working with the Director of International Relations and the Dean of Programs, I focused on identifying and approaching suitable partner institutions to explore possibilities for collaboration on a number of levels. The most notable project in this period was the development of an innovative joint Executive MBA program with Brown University. My role included extensive research and outreach activities as well as contributing to the development of the program structure and curriculum.

IE Business School, Madrid

Associate Director of International Communication, December 2006 to June 2009
My primary role was to develop the communications strategy related to key English speaking markets. I worked with senior management to help build overarching message and themes to support the development of the brand. This included substantial benchmarking projects, assessing competitor European and global programs, and market research of the management education sector. One of the major successes was IE being ranked number two for Full time International MBA programs in the prestigious Business Week MBA rankings for 2008; the first time that IE had achieved a ranking in Business Week.

Forum MBA, London
Director and Co-founder, June 2005 to August 2006
Founded a start up enterprise focussed on the MBA candidate recruitment market, providing services to leading European and US business schools. Alongside my co-founder we assessed the management education market and developed innovative online services and events for student recruitment. I was also jointly responsible for the overall strategic direction and financial management of the company. The company was subsequently sold to one of the major recruitment operators in the higher education market.

Association of MBAs, London
Business Development Manager, March 2003 to June 2005
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, I had three main areas of responsibility within the Business Development Unit: revenue growth through increased sales and sponsorship, improvement and development of services for the Association’s various stakeholders, and relationship development with key stakeholders and clients. I managed the budgets for individual projects and contributed to the development of the unit’s overall budget in conjunction with the finance department. The revenue for the Unit accounted for 30% of the organizations revenues. During my two years the targets for revenue growth were met or exceeded.
